2008 Mexican Government Scholarships for Foreigners

The Mexican Government is offering one scholarship to an Australian citizen to undertake a graduate degree (Masters and Doctorate Degrees) in a Mexican institution for the 2008 academic year.

Australian citizens are also welcome to apply for the scholarships offered through the ‘Multicultural” and “Special” programs, which are based on merits and relevance of the proposed study or research to Mexico’s national interest.

Information on Mexican institutions and study programs is available on the following web pages: http://becas.sre.gob.mx, www.anuies.mx, and www.edumexico.org.

The application period will close 31 July 2007 for the 2008 round. However application for some special programs will be accepted until 31 November 2007.

Applicants can obtain details of all these scholarships including scholarship selection criteria, application forms, and all other relevant information from, the Mexican Ministry of Foreign Affaires’ web site at: http://becas.sre.gob.mx.
