[UK] Commonwealth Scholarships: United Kingdom Awards 2008 Under the Commonwealth Scholarships and Fellowships Plan scholarships are being offered by the Commonwealth Scholarship Commission (UK) for citizens of other Commonwealth countries to undertake postgraduate study in the United Kingdom. To be eligible for an award the candidates must: • be Commonwealth citizens, refugees, or British protected persons, and must be permanently resident in a Commonwealth country other than the United Kingdom; • hold, by 1 October 2008, a first degree of upper second class Honours standard (or above) or a second class degree and a relevant postgraduate qualification, which will normally be a Masters degree; and • be available, by 1 October 2008, to commence their academic studies in the United Kingdom.
